The Bureau of Fire Protection (Filipino: Kawanihan ng Pagtatanggol sa Sunog) is an agency of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) responsible for implementing national policies related to Firefighting and Protection as well as implementation of the Philippine Fire Code (RA 9514 which also known as the “Revised Fire Code of the Philippines of 2008”). The bureau now is in charge of management, administration, and implementation of Fire and Emergency Services all over the country.
Through this website, you will find the information on the mandate and different activities carried out with an aim to increase the public awareness and the active involvement of the community in preparing them to prevent, eradicate and curtail the destructive fires, in order to minimize loss of life, injury and damage to property. This is also to intensify the campaign in disaster preparedness and management which caused by either manmade or natural due to climate change.

BFP-Hagonoy in Action
Personnel of Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Hagonoy, Bulacan spearheaded by SINSP ROSALIA S EDRALIN BFP together with the Hagonoy RESCUE immediately rendered emergency medical services/assistance to one victim of a motor vehicle accident that transpired along Brgy. Abulalas, Hagonoy, Bulacan on 26 May 2016 while they were on their way back to the station from a fire alarm verification.
This manifests that the BFP, aside from ensuring the safety of the public against fire, BFP continues to perform one of its mandates of providing emergency medical services/assistance to the public.
Angat Fire Station
The Barangay Ugnayan program of this station aimed to provide awareness on Fire Safety among the leaders and personnel of each barangay, which are the roots of every Local Government Units. The very same roots that provide initial services in the community. Personnel of this station through the leadership of SFO3 Rogelio M Isaac, Municipal Fire Marshal of Angat Fire Station, Angat, Bulacan BFP R-3 continuously performed the mandate of the BFP through Fire Prevention activities.
