3rd Provincial Fire Olympics

On April 12, 2019, Zambales BFP personnel headed by their Provincial Fire Marshal, SUPT GENESIS F MORRONDOZ, conducted its 3rd Provincial Fire Olympics at Olongapo City Sports Complex, East Tapinac, Olongapo City, Zambales.
The event was participated by different barangays from the city and municipalities of Zambales. It was also participated by two (2) industrial Fire Brigade. The program was graced by an opening prayer given by SFO2 Ramon Gutierrez, MFM of Botolan FS followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem while the welcome remarks was delivered by CINSP AMANDO C ELEVADO, CFM of Olongapo City FS. SUPT MORRONDOZ delivered his inspirational message which has inspired the participants to give their best in all the events. He also led the lighting of torch, which signifies the light for the whole event. The oath of sportsmanship was led by INSP JOSE BORLAGDATAN, MFM, Subic FS.
During the event proper, the participating teams had played very well and obviously gave their very best to win. But in the end, the teams that persevered and never got tired had reaped the fruits oof their hard work. In the industrial category, Gordon College “Team Lagablab” Fire Brigade had placed 1st Runner Up while Ayala Harbor Point Fire Brigade were crowned as Champion. In the Barangay category, Old Cabalan Fire Brigade of Olongapo City had placed 2nd Runner up, San Narciso Fire Brigade of San Narciso Zambales caught the 1st Runner up place and Dirita Baloguen Fire Brigade of Iba, Zambales had reaped the sweetest fruit of their labor as they were announced the Champion for this years Provincial Fire Olympics.
“Let us join hand in hand for disaster and fire free community, hindi naming ito kakayanin ng kami lang, kailangan naming ang tulong ng bawat isa, para sa isang masagana, at ligtas na pamayanan,” SUPT MORRONDOZ said. A proof that we should work together, for the safety of our community – our nation – Kahit saan, Kahit kailan.
