
BFP; MORE THAN JUST A FIRE FIGHTER
Last week, Southwest Monsoon enhance by an active Low Pressure Area bring out some heavy rains in our country particularly on Luzon. BFP Region 3 raised the Normal Alert to Heightened Alert Status and activate OPLAN PAGHALASA and OPLAN LISTO which means all Operating Units of BFP shall undertake steps with regards on this matter in partnership and coordination with the National, Regional, Provincial, and City/Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Councils concerned, PNP, AFP , LGUs, and other Government and Non-Government Agencies relevant to the delivery of fire safety, rescue/emergency medical services and disaster related operations.
BFP Paniqui headed by Acting Municipal Fire Marshal INSP RYAN L PASCUAL BFP visited the the Barangay’s near the dike as the water level of the river is rapidly increasing. These Barangay’s in low lying areas of Paniqui experienced flooding’s so with the help of MDRRMC Paniqui and BFP conducted an immediate evacuation on affected areas to secure the safeness of the people. A total of 13 families initially evacuated on the 15th day of August 2016. Two (2) days later the total numbers of the families on evacuation centers became 113. BFP with the Municipal Health Office of Paniqui also give some relief foods to those evacuees & medicines throughout the Municipality. Once again Bureau of Fire Protection serves as front liners and rendered public assistance to the people especially in times of calamities.
